The Auckland Prayer Breakfast is part of a growing, global city prayer breakfast movement and is the first of its kind in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Organised by the Auckland Church Leaders Meeting and New Zealand Christian Network since 2016, this event continues to grow with the support of a committed organising committee, oversight group and key sponsors.
Any person who desires to pray for the different communities that come together in the Auckland area such as business (the professions), politics, the arts and those in need.
We believe that you will be greatly encouraged in your faith by participating in the breakfast. It’s good to pray at all times and also alone, but there is a place for corporate prayer on occasions such as this. This is a privilege we should not underestimate, to be able to freely gather in this country and to call on our Heavenly Father in prayer.
At the breakfast, you will make new friends and perhaps meet business associates whom you never knew were believers. You will learn of opportunities to keep connected in the city and to connect others to Christ.

The Enlightenment is often seen as an anti-Christian movement, rich in cynicism, skepticism, and a scientific consciousness intolerant of supernatural faith. Although some of this narrative holds up to historical enquiry, the notion of a ‘warfare’ between reason and faith is misleading for the simple reason that much of the period’s hostility to theology was motivated by Christian ethics and spirituality.
