New for 2020, this is another way to get Bible College teaching, live on your device, wherever you are. Each online teaching series runs over 4 weeks, comprising of four 1-hour live and interactive webinars, one each week for 4 weeks, eg: the 4 Monday nights of the month of May, from 7.30pm-8.30pm.
These online teaching series will provide overviews or more indepth looks at various topics to do with bible study, theology, mission, and practice, taught by high caliber, research active, Carey lecturers, or other experts in their field. All of these people are active participants in their local churches.
These are ideal for both individual and group use – learn on your own in your office or at home, or organize a small group to watch these together. Recordings will be available online.
Mark Powell has had a long career in business, finishing as CEO of The Warehouse Group three years ago. In the Business area he has a Bachelor’s degree in Mining engineering, a Masters in Logistics and a MBA. He has a diversity of commercial board roles and is an Adjunct Professor at Auckland Graduate School of Management.
In addition to his business roles, Mark is Chair of the New Zealand Christian Network and the Venn Foundation. Mark trained at Carey as part of the Pastoral Leadership Track and has an Applied Theology degree through Carey. He has served as an Elder and Associate Pastor at Whangaparaoa Baptist Church, the same church he came to faith in through Alpha in 2003.
Additionally, he has a Masters in Christian Apologetics from Biola University in the USA. Mark currently teaches apologetics at Carey and is on the Carey Board. All of this experiance allows Mark to appreciate the best thinking on church and secular organisational leadership and to distil learnings from both.

Building on the first Session, we now look at leaders themselves and what makes a good leader.

This third session looks at teams and what makes a great team.
Wednesday 27 May 12pm–1pm
This final session shares some practical tools and techniques on how a leader can work effectively, before pulling all four weeks together.
