This summer, we’re excited to invite you and your worship team to formatio: a one-day gathering exploring apprenticeship to Jesus.
In our post-Christian, highly secularised culture, formatio will afford us the opportunity to break from routine and ask: what are the cultural narratives, rhythms & rituals forming us, and what does Jesus have to say about that? We reckon this is an absolutely critical conversation for us as people responsible for the worship life of Aotearoa.
Joining us is our new friend and quite frankly one of the best thinkers and communicators we’ve found on this topic: John Mark Comer from Bridgetown Church in Portland, Oregon. John Mark is passionate about spiritual formation and if you want a bit of a taste then we’d fully recommend his podcast called This Cultural Moment, or any of his books. Check them out.
This conversation is for everyone, so we’re throwing the doors open and inviting you and your community to gather with us in February. Tickets are available now so book formatio into your summer plans now!
formatio is a spiritual formation shot of adrenaline to kick off 2019 together, so gather your team and we’ll see you there!

Scripture in Song has turned 50. Worship, as it was back in 1968, took a radical turn through pioneers and worship leaders David and Dale Garrett. "Come with us as we and some of our friends both local and international, worship God together, share treasures and pass on how we interpreted the original legacy of God’s word to us, “lead the people to me”. When we first began Scripture in Song this was a simple but clear mandate."...
