Bible Society New Zealand (BSNZ) and Manna Christian Stores are trusted, nationwide Christian organisations with over 179 years of service in Aotearoa New Zealand. Together, we work across denominations, cultures, and communities to support Bible engagement locally, in the South Pacific, and around the world.
We are seeking a Customer Experience Representative to join our Customer Experience team. This is a service-focused role for someone who enjoys helping people, solving problems, and delivering high-quality customer experiences across multiple channels, while supporting a meaningful Christian mission.
About the role
As a Customer Experience Representative, you will be a key point of contact for customers engaging with Manna Christian Stores via our web store, phone, email, and social media channels. You’ll ensure orders are processed accurately, inquiries are resolved promptly, and customers feel supported, valued, and connected to Manna and Bible Society’s wider mission.
This role sits within the Customer Experience team and works closely with our Third-Party Logistics (3PL) provider, retail stores, and internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment, accurate information, and a consistently positive customer journey.
This is a varied role combining customer service, order processing, relationship building, and administrative support.
Key responsibilities include
- Responding to customer inquiries across web, phone, email, and social media
- Monitoring and coordinating web and non-web orders with the 3PL provider
- Resolving order issues, payment errors, delivery queries, and stock availability matters
- Supporting trade customers, churches, and institutional buyers with orders and product information
- Assisting customers to navigate and use the Manna web store and wholesale site
- Maintaining accurate customer information in CRM and database systems
- Supporting promotions, gift vouchers, loyalty programmes, and subscriptions
- Administering grant orders in line with BSNZ Group policies
- Providing product information and support to Manna retail stores
- Contributing customer feedback and insights to improve service, systems, and the web store
- Supporting off-site events, bookstalls, and displays as required
About you
You will be service-oriented, organised, and motivated by delivering excellent customer experiences. You’ll also bring:
- A genuine alignment with Manna and BSNZ’s Christian mission and values
- Proven customer service experience, ideally in a retail, eCommerce, or contact-centre environment
- Confidence communicating with customers by phone and in writing
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Comfort using CRM systems, databases, and online ordering platforms
- A collaborative, positive, and team-focused approach
- An interest in Christian resources, books, or ministry contexts (advantageous but not essential)
Experience working with trade customers, churches, or institutional clients would be an advantage.
