About the role
Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is seeking an enthusiastic Solution Support Manager to lead CAPs newly created Solution Support team through a pivotal season of growth and transformation as CAP delivers its new Debt Help Service. This leadership role is your opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people across Aotearoa.
Leading a team of four you will guide a high-performing group dedicated to delivering timely, effective, and compassionate responses to client needs. Your focus will be on fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration, ensuring that the Solution Support Team is working effectively with Financial Mentors and contributing to relevant and impactful outcomes for clients. You will grow a commitment to ongoing learning and continuous improvement, ensuring that the team stays at the leading edge of service delivery.
You’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring that recommendations are actioned with excellence and that support systems are running smoothly and efficiently. Your strategic oversight and people leadership will empower the team to deliver services that are not only responsive but transformative.

You’ll also bring relevant experience for the role:
- Proven leadership experience (2+ years) in client-centered service delivery, ideally within the not-for-profit or social services sector, with the ability to guide teams through change and deliver impactful outcomes.
- Demonstrated expertise and experience as a certified Financial Mentor; supervisory experience is beneficial but not essential
- Familiarity with financial institutions, systems and practices in Aotearoa
- Emotional intelligence and professional maturity, balancing empathy, compassion, and best practice—especially when working with vulnerable people and navigating complex challenges.

CAP provides free practical help and hope to people living in unmanageable debt and hardship. Partnering with over 150 local churches from Kaitaia to Dunedin, CAP releases New Zealanders into lives of fullness and freedom.
