Due to a promotion within one of our sister schools, a rare and exciting opportunity has opened up to join our team as the Deputy Principal of Senior School (Years 11-13) on our Senior Campus starting 28 January 2025.

Located on the beautiful Hibiscus Coast of Auckland, KingsWay is a high achieving, growing, state integrated Christian Area School catering for Year 1-13 students, with a current roll of 1845 students. Our staff are supportive and collaborative, and our work is inspired by love/aroha, heartened by faith/whakapono in Jesus Christ, and motivated by gospel hope/tūmanako.

About the job

We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and visionary educational leader who is passionate about combining their strong personal Christian faith with their work to oversee our Senior School (Years 11-13). With a proven track record of providing supportive educational excellence the Deputy Principal of Senior School reports directly to the Executive Leadership Team and is responsible for:

• Leading the Senior School Senior Management Team
• Implementing the highest standards of teaching and learning in Senior School
• Overall management and administration of the Senior School

The role carries 7 Salary Units.

The successful applicant will possess:

• An active, personal Christian faith, a vibrant Christian walk, and a clear understanding of Biblical Worldview teaching
• A thorough understanding of the developmental and academic needs of Year 11-13 students
• Strong pedagogical expertise
• Extensive experience in NCEA, developments in curriculum, and implementing educational best practice
• Evidence of enhancing educational outcomes across all aspects of learning and development
• A reputation for being innovative and forward thinking
• The ability to build strong personal, community, and team relationships through collaborative leadership and exceptional communication
• Proven management skills
