mainly music currently has a position available within Te Papaioea (Palmerston North) facilitating mainly babies sessions for matua and their pēpi. Having a passion for the heart of our mission is more important than experience with mainly music or having an amazing singing voice.
Experience working with pēpi under 1 is not essential but would be an advantage. To be successful in this role you will need to be confident in using some Te Reo Māori, there are songs that are in Māori, Karakia at the beginning and end of the session.
This group will be run with support from a local church (Palmerston North Central Baptist) and local Primary Health Organisation (Think Hauora).
The hours offered for this session are 4.5 hours per week. Sessions will be held at a venue. Balance of hours, for scheduled meetings and other tasks, will be worked from home.
We are a for purpose organisation, with all staff having the passion to work under the umbrella of a Christian statement of faith. You will be someone who has a passion for local mission and wants to bring delight into the lives of whānau.
You will bring strong organisational and communication skills, be comfortable with technology and have a willingness to learn. You will have your own reliable transport and a suitable driver’s license.
We provide training and on-going development.
