Position available on Auckland’s North Shore, Session Facilitator for whānau supported by CCS Disability Action

Weekday morning (day to be confirmed, term time only)

There is a part-time role available on Auckland’s North Shore. This role is for a mainly music Session Facilitator who will run a mainly music session specifically for whānau who are supported by CCS Disability Action. Your role would be to provide a fun music and movement session to mothers and their tamariki (under 5 years). Applicants will need strong organisational and communication skills as well as being comfortable using technology and have a willingness to learn. This is not a clinical role but rather a role to support the work that CCS Disability Action already undertakes with whānau; you will need to come alongside the mothers without overstepping boundaries. Experience working with Disabled Children is not essential but would be an advantage in this role.

This session has an allocation of up to five hours a week where some of that time will be on the day of the session and the balance on another day at your convenience. You will need to be available for fortnightly team meetings on Monday afternoons and an annual training event in Auckland. The position does not require you to convene sessions in the school holidays. You will also need your own reliable transport and suitable driver’s license. This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID.

Ideally the successful applicant will be given to someone who has a passion for local mission and a desire to work with the mainly music Supported Groups Team, amongst whānau experiencing vulnerability.

Having prior experience of mainly music would be an advantage but isn’t compulsory as we provide training. If you have experience in education or community work, your transferrable skills will be helpful. We are looking for someone who has a heart to bring delight into the lives of whānau.

We are a not for profit organisation, with all staff members having the passion to work under the umbrella of a Christian statement of faith and to engage with people who may want to explore faith.

Applications are requested by Friday, 14 January 2022. Please email for the application details to be sent to you.
