Director of Music

St Margaret’s is a suburban, multicultural, charismatic evangelical Anglican church with a bold vision for mission and growth. As part of our ReVision 2029 journey, we are becoming one church, two sites, and multiple congregations — with plans to plant a new church in 2026.

We are seeking a Director of Worship (20 hours per week, with potential to grow) to lead Spirit-led, Christ-centred worship across the life of the church. From traditional hymns at our 8am service to contemporary songs from Bethel, Hillsong, KXC, Charity Gayle, Chris Tomlin, and more, worship at St Margaret’s reflects both heritage and freshness.

This established and priority role will suit someone with passion, persistence, and proficiency — able to disciple and train young leaders, pastor teams, innovate musically, and help the church go deeper in vibrant praise and intimate worship. A traditional and conservative understanding of Scripture is essential.

Ideally suited to those returning to New Zealand or Australia with international experience. Accommodation may be available for the right candidate.
