Real Mates You Can Count On

Real Mates You Can Count On

“Real Mates You Can Count On”
(and how to be a real friend to others)

Who is your closest male friend and how close are you? Is he an acquaintance, a friend or a brother?

Aaron Ironside will guide us through the various types of friendship and why friends are especially important when we go through hard times. Jesus related differently to people on different levels and so do we. What are those differences in our lives, and how do we react?

Aaron has a wealth of experience to share from both the perspective of a professional counsellor and from multiple real life friendship experiences. He will help us navigate into deeper, more meaningful relationships.

“The wall that you use to keep out the bad also keeps out the good. Walls are a broken strategy.” – Aaron

What your Spouse is Really Thinking

What your Spouse is Really Thinking

“You never say you love me,” a woman said to her husband.

“I told you I loved you when we got married, and if anything changes I’ll let you know,” he replied.

Most of us recognise that this may not end well. Good marriages need ongoing attention and input.

Occasionally they need something extra special – that’s the opportunity that Promise Keepers is offering with Vince D’Acchioli at seven centres around NZ this August. Vince is a great communicator and uses a lot of humour while teaching some real keys for success. Vince and his wife, Cindy celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary recently, so they must be doing something right!

Often blokes are the last to realise that their marriage is running rough – and could go south. Don’t be that bloke. And if you are a friend of that bloke, then help him out and encourage him to get along to this event.

Seminar participants will go home with a deeper understanding of how their spouse ticks and how to relate better.

This dynamic event hosted by Vince D’Acchioli helps couples understand their differences, lay down baggage from their past, and gain tools to build a strong marriage that will last the distance.

Couples can find the power of vision. Vince says, “You need a vision bigger than your problem. We need God’s vision for our relationship”.

At this seminar you will discover how men and women differ in four areas:

  • Our past experiences
  • Our physiological makeup
  • Our fears and needs
  • Our natural gifts

The popular On Target “gift test” will be an integral part of the seminar.

Vince brings us wisdom and experience from over 20 years of hosting marriage seminars, delivered with the humour that is Vince’s trademark!

The Call

The Call

What is the call that God has on your life?

God called you before you were even born and He knew you by name. (Isaiah 49:1)

It’s time for us as men to respond to God’s call and be the godly men we were created to be. God says, “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

God is calling us to greatness, to accomplish the mission and fulfill the vision.

Promise Keepers is ready to help you position yourself, clearly identify the call on your life and equip you to fulfill it. That call is life-transforming. It prepares us to respond immediately when called to action. Men have the power to change the world when we follow God’s plans for our lives. We are called to be unashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ, to team up with brothers, to be honest and moral, to champion our family and to serve. We can dramatically affect the lives of others.

Promise Keepers is calling men to act boldly as we stand on the eternal truths of God’s Word. You carry the hope of generations as you move in God’s strength and wisdom.
