Chris studied English literature and molecular microbiology as well as playing bass guitar in a heavy metal band before training for ministry. He has experience in university student, hospital chaplaincy, mission agency, communications, local church contexts and theological education contexts in Sydney and Melbourne. In 2018 he completed his PhD in theology, focusing on discipleship in Karl Barth’s late doctrine of sanctification. He currently works as Director of Training with City to City Australia and lectures in ministry at Ridley College. He lives in Melbourne with his wife, Natalie, and their two kids.
A large part of Nigel’s leadership journey has been seventeen years pastoring at Christian Community Church in Palmerston North – a large contemporary, charismatic church. After going through burnout he ‘retooled’ and developed a consulting/coaching business called Vox Humana – he still does leadership coaching and development. He is currently vicar of All Saints PN and coordinates “City to City” in NZ. He has published a book, “Villages Without Walls”, exploring the shift to postmodern culture and its implications for family and community.
