At MountainView Vineyard Church we are a community of people committed to living out the words and works of Jesus.  Captivated by God’s love, we want to see our town and district come to know the reality of God’s grace and mercy.

Planted in 1999 by John and Corrina Sheed who answered the call of God to come to Stratford, Taranaki. The church has always had a family focus, with a vibrant youth and children’s ministry.  We also run a pre-school music programme – music4kidz, and host Stratford’s Light Party – a positive alternative to Halloween on October 31st every year.

Outgrowing our home in the Upper Room (upstairs @255 Broadway) we embarked on a great adventure to build our own church. Construction commenced in 2012 and was completed in 2013, and now we have an amazing purpose-built space which is home to all we do.

This new facility has given us the opportunity to serve our community in a more dynamic way.

Our desire is to be a small church where everyone is important; yet to think big – punching way beyond our weight so that our community and the world will be impacted by the love of God.
