The Role
CATAS provides accounting, bookkeeping and payroll services to hundreds of churches, community trusts and other faith-based charities all around New Zealand.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Payroll Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of client payrolls, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, accountability and accuracy. A genuine appreciation for the work of churches and Christian charities is important, as our clients are primarily faith-based organisations serving communities throughout New Zealand.

Days of Work
The role is based around a fixed fortnightly and monthly pay run schedule. Normal work days may include Thursday, Friday and the Monday & Tuesday mornings of each fortnightly pay run. Some weekend and public holiday work may be required at times.
The role is outcome focused, the hours and when you work over those days can be flexible to suit, as long as all pay runs are completed within set deadlines.
About CATAS
In 2005, CATAS was founded as an independent not-for-profit charitable company, by the Baptist Union of New Zealand. We recognised that many churches and church-related trusts were struggling with financial management and reporting. To meet this need, we created a professional, cost-effective accounting, bookkeeping and payroll service firm dedicated to the faith-based charitable sector.
We have a team of 7 accountants, 3 bookkeepers and 5 payroll administrators. Over 380 churches and Christian charities from all over NZ make up our client base.
