The Keswick Christian Camp and Convention is located on the shore of Lake Rotorua, offering a space for churches, groups, families, and individuals to deepen their relationship with God and the body of Christ. Our facilities are also used by community and other groups including for sports or school camps. We have been developing our property around our future vision for Keswick and have increased our accommodation options with new standalone accommodation.
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Development Manager to join our team and lead the growth and success of our operations, particularly the use of our new accommodation. This full-time role will be integral to driving business development, expanding partnerships, and optimising revenue streams, all while staying aligned with our Vision and upholding the highest standards of service for our guests.
As the Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to attract new clients, strengthen existing relationships, and explore innovative ways to diversify income. You will collaborate closely with the Camp management team, including the Camp Manager, to help Keswick achieve its strategic and financial goals.
We are looking for someone with the following:
A desire to support and grow the Church of New Zealand.
A love of people and the ability to connect with a wide range of customers
Strong negotiation and communication skills and experience in building and maintaining lasting relationships.
Proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably in the hospitality or conference industry.
Analytical mindset, capable of using data and technology to drive decisions.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
A passion for the hospitality and event industry.
