Website Remuera Baptist Church
Remuera Baptist Church is seeking a part-time (12 to 20 hours/week) Youth Pastor to join our growing congregation in Remuera, Auckland. In this key role, you will draw, disciple and develop intermediate and high-school aged youth to be Christ-like followers of Jesus as integral members of our faith community.
What you’ll be doing:
• Provide leadership of our intermediate and high-school ministries.
• Build a volunteer team who will model, lead and empower youth to grow in their love and service for Christ.
• Provide pastoral care to youth.
• Provide good administration, planning and safety compliance.
• Plan and attend youth camps.
What we’re looking for:
• A strong Christian faith and commitment to serving Jesus, his people and his world.
• A passion for evangelism and discipleship
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Experience in working with youth and/or children is an advantage
• A theological qualification or equivalent experience is beneficial but not essential
