About the role
Remuera Baptist Church is seeking a part-time Assistant Pastor to join our dynamic and growing congregation in Remuera, Auckland. In this key role, you will work closely with the Senior Pastor to bring strategic input into a variety of areas of church life.
What you’ll be doing
– Leadership input into our Youth or Children ministries (depending on experience and gifting)
– Assisting the Senior Pastor with leading Sunday services and other worship gatherings
– Providing pastoral care and support to members of the congregation
– Participating in the planning and delivery of church programmes and events
– Contributing to the overall strategic direction and vision of the church
– Representing the church in the local community
– Undertaking administrative duties as required
What we’re looking for
– A strong Christian faith and commitment to serving Jesus, his people and his world.
– Excellent interpersonal skills
– A theological qualification or equivalent experience is beneficial but not essential
– The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
– Experience in working with Youth and/or Children is an advantage
– A passion for evangelism and discipleship
