Prayer is at the heart of daily life with God. Throughout the ages, men and women have been transformed by drawing near to God to be still, to listen, and to respond. Such prayer is deeply sustaining, and unfolds over the course of a lifetime.
For most of us, however, prayer is a problem. We might grow in experience, skill, and competence at work and at home, but we don’t necessarily grow in prayer. At the same time, the more we live, the more pressing our need to pray becomes. But, like most things in life, prayer is something we learn—something we can grow in.
This short course is designed for people who want to pursue a deeper life with God by growing in prayer. There’s a particular emphasis on:
– learning to pray
– drawing near to God
– developing new rhythms of prayer for everyday life
Designed to be a spacious and engaging learning experience, this two day course includes group learning, shared lunches, and times for individual reflection and prayer. Whether you’re at the start of your life with God, or many years on the journey, this course is for all those who want to pursue greater intimacy in prayer.
