Faith in action
The Organisation
Tearfund is a Christian non-profit organisation working for a just and compassionate world. Motivated by Jesus, we encourage Kiwis to act for justice to relieve poverty among the world’s most vulnerable people. We’re a team of Kiwis and internationals who believe that, by partnering with local communities in developing countries, we can end extreme poverty in our lifetime.
Tearfund relies on the financial generosity of Kiwis to support development projects led by local partners addressing issues of poverty, scarcity, disempowerment, and injustice. Our work spans modern slavery, child development, farming, enterprise, and humanitarian response.
The Fundraising team drives Tearfund’s mission by engaging and inspiring supporters through innovative campaigns, events, and speaking in churches—ensuring sustainable income, deepening relationships, and maximizing impact for vulnerable communities.
