Theological positioning
CBA’s Trust Deed includes a ‘Basis of Faith’, which board members agree to, however we have not traditionally required staff to sign anything in relation to this. In summary, the Trust is interdenominational, with the orthodox Nicene Creed acting as its foundational expression of belief, uniting it with all others that adhere to this ancient creed.
Outside of that Basis of Faith, CBA does not hold a particular theological, denominational, political or moral view or position. We are a collection of diverse viewpoints, generally within the broad spectrum of the Christian faith. It is important that CBA staff do not feel a strong sense of conflict with supporting colleagues and fellow media personnel who might hold a theological viewpoint divergent from their own.
