For more than 50 years, CBA has shared the heart of the Christian faith in mainstream media. Our small and energetic team produces world-class radio programming, award-winning podcasts, and social media that communicate the Christian faith in ways that are relevant, compelling and entertaining. We run Media Chaplaincy New Zealand supporting the well-being of media professionals. Our various prayer initiatives include CBA’s Prayer whanau of 1,000 people and our biennial Media Prayer Day. CBA’s xvox initiative connects articulate Christians with newsrooms and reporters with the aim of deepening the public discourse on matters of faith – and provides media training to church and Christian ministry leaders.
In this part-time admin role (approx 16-20 hours per week), you will be responsible for:
- providing assistance to our accountant
- accounts payable management
- visa card management
- income processing and reconciliation
- assisting with cashflow management
- database updates in Vega (CRM) including direct communication with donors via email and phone
The ideal candidate is warm and friendly, proactive, and has a strong sense of initiative. You will be working as part of a small, efficient, and supportive team. You will have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, be comfortable with jumping on the telephone, and be a fast learner when it comes to customer relationship management software. Familiarity with Accounting software and Excel skills are essential. And you’ll need to align with CBA’s values and have a genuine enthusiasm for our mission. The role offers some flexibility in hours and, for the right candidate, can include or grow into other accounting areas currently undertaken by our existing accountant. We are based in Penrose with free on site carparking.
