We have an opportunity in Wainuiomata, a growing community of 20,000, and are looking for a Campus Pastor with a calling, vision, innovation and passion to plant a LifeSwitch campus in the heart of the suburb.

We are LifeSwitch and our mission is “Connecting people to God.” Our vision is to become a hub for planting and equipping churches across Aotearoa and our heart is to ensure everyone who engages with LifeSwitch feels valued, connected, safe and empowered.
This is no ordinary Campus Pastor position, most importantly this position requires a heart to seek and reach unchurched people and a love of starting and launching new initiatives.  You will need to be able to see opportunities and run with them not afraid of but learning from any failure.

– Living a lifestyle of biblical integrityTerm: Initially 2 years fixed term (first 6 months residency at LifeSwitch Silverstream)

Location: Wainuiomata, Wellington

Salary: $65,000 per annum

What we can offer you

LifeSwitch is a healthy and growing church located at Silverstream Retreat. We have a passionate and caring team that will work with and alongside you to support and resource you for success.  We envision your initial six months will be spent partly with the LifeSwitch team  and partly on the ground in Wainuiomata building relationships.  During your time at LifeSwitch we will teach you the LifeSwitch Way. We want you to capture the heart of LifeSwitch, learn all of our systems and procedures and give you the opportunity to spend time in each of our ministry areas – Service Programming, Youth (College), Iggy (Intermediate), Switch Kids and Little Switchers (Primary and preschool), and Groups (adults Lifegroups).  Our current team will help you to find your launch team and provide guidance and prayer to enable a thriving LifeSwitch community in Wainuiomata.  Whatever you need, ask and if it’s possible, we can make it happen.  We are with you 100%.

Why are we planting a church in Wainuiomata?

In short, we were asked to by the Wainuiomata Gospel Church.  The WGC has declining attendance and aging leadership with no future successor identified, there is a high likelihood of closure.  They have asked us to come and plant a LifeSwitch in their place. After a lot of prayer, and the reality that we were asked by God’s people to go do God’s work, we felt called to respond.
