Orama is looking for a reliable and practical Housekeeper to join our hospitality team for the summer season.

Set in a beautiful private bay on Great Barrier Island, Orama is a Christian community and retreat center where people come to rest, connect, grow and experience something different.

As part of our accommodation team, you’ll help create a warm and welcoming experience for every guest. You’ll take care of the spaces people stay in, making sure they are clean, comfortable and ready for the next arrival.

What you’ll be doing
Cleaning and preparing guest accommodation between stays
Cleaning bathrooms and shared guest areas
Making beds and restocking guest amenities
Managing guest linen, towels and accommodation laundry
General tidying and keeping accommodation areas looking their best
Reporting maintenance issues or damage when you notice them
Working alongside our Guest Services team, particularly during busy changeover days

We’re looking for someone who
Takes pride in doing things properly, including the things guests may never see
Works efficiently and calmly, even when things get busy
Is reliable, practical and takes responsibility for their work
Enjoys being part of a team and communicates well
Is comfortable with physical work and being on your feet
Has housekeeping, laundry or hospitality experience – helpful, but not essential
Is comfortable working within a Christian community and supporting the values and culture of Orama
