Pathway exists to help people make a fresh start

The Role
We’re seeking a Community Coordinator to lead and coordinate Pathway’s volunteer programme, providing the vital link between our dedicated volunteers, generous supporters, and the men and women we serve.

This is a unique opportunity to build meaningful relationships across diverse groups – from volunteers serving in prison units and community settings, to Impact Investors and church partners who resource our mission. You’ll create the space for volunteers to thrive whilst ensuring appropriate boundaries and safety, and you’ll help our supporters understand the real impact of their generosity.

Key responsibilities include:

Volunteer Programme Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and support volunteers and mentors across prison and community
  • Provide regular supervision and create gatherings that build community and capability

Programme Coordination

  • Assist with event planning and coordinate external programme providers
  • Build relationships with community organisations to expand support networks
  • Maintain systems for tracking volunteer engagement and programme statistics

Donor Relations & Stewardship

  • Maintain connection with our impact investors, communicating impact and maintaining relationships
  • Coordinate church partnerships and speaking opportunities
  • Support fundraising initiatives and donor engagement activities

About You

  • You’re highly organised, discerning, and relationship-oriented. You can spot both opportunities and risks, and you understand how to balance optimism with wise judgment. You genuinely care about people – volunteers, donors, and the men and women rebuilding their lives.
  • You are someone who is genuinely aligned with our faith-based approach to supporting transformation and fresh starts and can authentically represent our Christian values and mission
  • You have 4+ years relevant professional experience in volunteer coordination, community engagement, or other relevant roles with an understanding of volunteer management including boundaries, supervision, and recognition
  • You have exceptional communication skills and ability to build trust across diverse stakeholder groups

Why Join Us?
This role offers the chance to be part of something truly meaningful. You’ll witness firsthand the power of community support in helping people turn their lives around. You’ll work with an incredible team of Pathway reintegration staff as well as volunteers who give generously of their time and talent. And you’ll play a crucial role in sustaining the relationships and resources that make our work possible.

What we offer:

  • Part-time hours (20-25 hours per week)
  • Supportive team environment
  • The opportunity to make a genuine difference
