CATAS stands for Church and Trust Accoutning Services. We are an independent not-for-profit organisation specialising in professional, cost-effective accounting, bookkeeping and payroll services to Christian churches and charities. CATAS was setup in 2005 by the Baptist Union of NZ to address a need they saw in their churches and related charitable trusts. Someone that understands churches, their mission and how they operate.

Our purpose is to take on the financial compliance burden for Christian charities, so their volunteers, administrators & leaders can focus more of their time, energy and resources on outworking their mission and purpose.

We have a team of 6 accountants and 4 payroll administrators. Over 290 churches and Christian charities from all over NZ make up our client base. This includes, ACTS NZ, Anglican, AOG, Baptist, C3, Catholic, CCCNZ, Elim, New Life, Presbyterian, independent churches, early learning centres and many faith-based Charitable trusts.
