Bethlehem College is a non-denominational, co-educational Christian College (Y1 -13). We are currently seeking a Sports Coordinator to join our Sports Department on a permanent, full-time basis.

 

Hours of work:

·         40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

·         40 weeks per year when the College is open for instruction

·         An additional 3.8 weeks to be worked during evenings, weekends or outside of term time as mutually agreed

 

The successful candidate will be a positive, enthusiastic and capable team player, ready to contribute the Sports Department’s priorities.

 

The role involves working within the Sports Office working alongside the Director of Sport, other Sports Coordinators, and Administrators.

 

 

Responsibilities include:

·         Event Management

·         Field support for students, coaches, managers and volunteers

·         Report writing and communication management

·         Engagement in tournaments and other sports-related activities

 

 

Requirements:

·         An active Christian faith is essential

·         Post Secondary Certificate or experience in a relevant field, including knowledge of sports and experience working with children and teenagers involved in sports

·         Passion for sports

·         Excellent organizational, time management, interpersonal, and practical abilities

·         A positive, ‘can-do’ attitude with a willingness to serve

·         Initiative, creativity, and adaptability in task completion

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) and KAMAR

with a willingness to learn how to update and enter sports information into the BC website, KAMAR (student database), and various sporting code databases

·         Full driver’s license

 

Remuneration is in accordance with the Support Staff in Schools Collective Agreement, Grade 3, Step 5.
