Bible Society New Zealand (BSNZ) and Manna Christian Stores are trusted, nationwide Christian organisations with over 179 years of service in Aotearoa New Zealand. We work across denominations, cultures, and communities to support Bible engagement locally, in the South Pacific, and globally.

 

We are now seeking a Mission Partner to join our Mission Relationships Team. This is a relationship-focused role for someone who enjoys connecting with people, building trust, and inspiring others to engage with Bible mission.

 

 

About the role

As a Mission Partner, you will build and nurture mission-focused partnerships with church leaders, Christian organisations, volunteers, and high-value donors. You will represent BSNZ with credibility and warmth, promote our Bible engagement resources and programmes, and encourage financial support for domestic and international Bible projects.

 

This role offers a rewarding mix of relationship management, public engagement, volunteer involvement, and mission advocacy.

 

Key responsibilities include

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with church and Christian leaders
  • Promoting Bible Society programmes, resources, and seasonal initiatives
  • Speaking at churches, events, and gatherings as opportunities arise
  • Encouraging financial support for Bible mission in New Zealand and overseas
  • Recruiting, engaging, and supporting volunteers and church representatives
  • Working collaboratively across teams to maximise mission impact

Some travel within Aotearoa New Zealand will be required.

 

About you

You will bring a genuine commitment to Christian mission, along with strong people skills and initiative. You will also have:

 

  • A good understanding of the Christian church landscape in Aotearoa New Zealand
  • Experience in a not-for-profit, charitable, or ministry context would be an advantage
  • The ability to build rapport across denominations and cultures
  • Confidence communicating one-to-one and with groups
  • Experience in relationship management, customer engagement, fundraising, or similar
  • The ability to plan and manage your work independently
  • A collaborative, positive, and service-oriented approach

A current full New Zealand driver’s licence is required.
