Pastor – Ōtūmoetai Baptist Church, Tauranga
OBC is seeking to appoint a new pastor who will lead our church into an exciting new life-cycle of growth, mission and disciple-making.
OBC began in 1958 and, over the years, has been one of the larger churches within the Baptist denomination. A worshipping congregation of all ages (around 100+), OBC is focused on reaching young families, youth, and especially those without a current church community.
We’re looking for someone with:
o Leadership and team-building skills
o A heart for evangelism
o A commitment to faithful preaching of God’s word
o Ability to enable and empower others in service/ministry
o A heart for the poor and disenfranchised
o A strategic pastoral heart
o A passion to see “God’s kingdom come” in our city
Our church has a faithful core of godly people who are keen to see OBC re-launch itself in effective mission (locally and globally). We have an amazing church complex, strategic partnerships in our community, and a strong history in contemporary worship and being led by the Holy Spirit.
