The Team
The marketing and fundraising team plays a crucial role in connecting our supporters with the impactful work of our partners worldwide and ensuring ongoing financial contributions to sustain these initiatives.
The partnerships team sits at the heart of this—focusing on building long-term, meaningful relationships with generous Kiwis, businesses, and trusts. This team thrives on personal connections and the joy of seeing supporters make a tangible difference through their giving.
The Role
The Project Coordinator plays a key role in enabling our Partnership Relationship Managers to focus on building meaningful donor relationships and achieving the team’s fundraising goals. You will be responsible for managing reporting for mid-to-major donors, preparing prospect briefings through detailed research, and providing insightful data from our CRM system to strengthen donor communication and engagement. The role also involves coordinating logistics for local events and international trips, while ensuring the Partnerships team runs efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
·    Support retention and coordinator: Support the execution of high-value engagement and fundraising activities, including events, trips to the field, donor-centred engagement campaigns, and other special projects.
·      Data and insights: Work with IT to enhance CRM functionality and provide meaningful data and insights from our CRM system to ensure effective donor communication and engagement.
·      Team support: Collaborate with Engagement Managers and Project Managers to develop and embed best practice project management processes and documentation within Tearfund. Provide team coordination support to the Partnerships team, enabling them to leverage each other’s strengths and enhance our impact.

And you have some, or most of the following :
·      3+ years of experience working in a project coordination role.
·      Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent projects with an understanding of or exposure to project management processes and tools.
·      Experience working with a CRM (or similar) system.
·      Experience working with data and the ability to turn data into meaningful insights.
·      Experience working in a role that required strong planning and organisational skills.
·      Experience in fundraising/marketing role and/or experience organising events.
·      NZ driver’s licence
·      Experience or a strong interest in the not-for-profit sector.
·      The flexibility to travel domestically at times to support events.
·       A commitment to Tearfund’s ethos and values.
The role is part-time (0.8 FTE) and is based in Auckland. Tearfund uses a hybrid work model, with scheduled days in the office and the flexibility to work (some but not all time) from home.
