ABOUT THE RUNWAY FOUNDATION
The Runway Foundation is a young, innovative, faith-filled, registered charity, working in the Franklin region in the areas of Youth-development &  support for those facing challenging circumstances.  We are not officially a Christian organisation, however all of our operations are grounded in Christian values & Christian purpose.  To bring hope and life to people who are struggling is our ‘Why’.

A key, unique initiative of the Foundation is to provide support for our ADHD community by running kids clubs for primary students, a youth coaching programme for secondary students, parent support groups, community events and workshops that support those who are impacted by ADHD.  This initiative is called ‘ADDventurers’.

Our aim with ADDventurers is to provide a safe place that gives our clients a sense of belonging & understanding, and to provide opportunities and activities that allow them to experience a sense of achievement, self-esteem & success. Hence our ADDventurers tag line is “Belonging, Opportunity, Success”.

ADDventurers has a strong team of 5-6 full-time/ part-time staff, each championing different areas of the ADDventurers support initiatives, while also working together to reach our organisational goals.  The team love working collaboratively, to respond to the needs of our families with care.  As we are predominantly privately funded, we enjoy the freedom of easily navigating situations with flexibility and agility, focusing on the journey of quality care and support rather than the restrictions & administration burden that government contractual outcomes can sometimes create.

We operate out of  ‘Runway House’, a community house, behind Pukekohe High-School & close to Pukekohe Intermediate School.  We have an independent Counsellor who operates in the house supporting our clients, an Operations Manager & Parent Support Facilitator, a Kids Club Manager & Youth Support Facilitator, Administrator, CEO and an amazing Board.  We have also established a strong network of community partners and supporters, and have strong relationships with the schools we work within.

We are a passionate and supportive team, and while we take our roles very seriously, we love to have fun along the way!

We all work together to design creative, impacting and effective services in our community based on the needs of our families.  Every member of our organisation is valued highly for their contribution.  We greatly value professional development, team-building and the continual search for best practice that is current and relevant to the needs of our day.
