About Us
Village Baptist (VBC) is a growing Church in Havelock North, Hawke’s Bay. Founded in 1985 as an outreach to the Village of Havelock North, we have seen steady growth over the last 30 years. With over 430 people calling VBC home we have regular Sunday attendance of approximately 200-240. The congregation has a healthy mix of young families through to seniors, many of whom have been with VBC since our foundation.
With the growth we have seen in the last few years we are looking to add an Associate Pastor to our staff team. The team currently includes our Lead Pastor, Children’s Director, Church Administrator and Café Manager. Alongside this growing staff team we have a fantastic team of volunteers who lead many ministries. For many years VBC has been active in supporting overseas missions.

Position Overview
The Associate Pastor will work directly with the Lead Pastor, staff, and ministry leaders to implement the ministry vision and core values of the church. Their primary responsibilities are youth ministry and pastoral care which they will lead directly and through teams. Their secondary responsibilities are wider support of church life including preaching and outreach events.
