As the Chosen Team Leader, you will oversee the planning and delivery of Chosen events across New Zealand. This role is 90% focused on operations and event delivery, ensuring logistics, planning, and supporter experiences run smoothly, while 10% of your time will be spent leading and supporting a small team of Chosen Experience Coordinators. Together, you’ll create high-quality, transformative events and manage international donor trips for the Fundraising Partnerships team.

Champion Chosen – Lead and encourage a team of Chosen Experience Coordinators across the motu, assisting supporters at church events as they begin their sponsorship journey.
Shape transformational experiences – From Chosen in Churches to Festival One, you’ll bring your creativity and organisational skills to ensure our touchpoint reflect excellence and sparks connection.
Open doors for deeper engagement –
Step into coordinating logistics for pastor and major donor trips to the field, helping key supporters witness first-hand the life-changing impact of Sponsorship.
Be part of a wider movement – As a key member of the Fundraising Partnerships team, you’ll ensure Chosen experiences align with our global best practice and support WVNZ’s mission of growing generosity and impact for children.
This is a role for someone who:
Brings energy and leadership to a dispersed team.
Loves seeing churches and donors equipped to connect deeply with our mission.
Thrives in event delivery and logistical coordination.
Wants to play a pivotal role in growing the reach and impact of Chosen.
Demonstrated experience in event planning, coordination, or logistics (preferably in church contexts).
Experience managing a geographically diverse team across New Zealand.
Excellent relationship management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
High attention to detail with strong time management and problem-solving ability.
Competence with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and event planning tools.
Flexible, proactive, and able to work Sundays and travel domestically as required.
Location and Hours
Based in Penrose, Auckland
Permanent position. 30 hrs per week.
