We are looking for a Church Relationship Manager (Chinese) to build and nurture partnerships with churches across New Zealand. This role will work closely with Chinese church communities nationwide while also supporting church partnerships across the Top of the North Island, particularly churches located north of the Auckland Harbour Bridge.

You will inspire churches to participate through prayer, advocacy, learning and generosity, including opportunities such as the Chosen child sponsorship programme, which enables churches to build meaningful connections with children and communities around the world.

Responsibilities

– Build and manage relationships with pastors, church leaders and congregations
– Identify and develop new partnerships with churches and Christian networks
– Represent World Vision at church services, conferences and Christian events
– Encourage church participation in prayer, advocacy and sponsorship initiatives
– Maintain accurate records of engagement and partnerships using CRM systems
– Collaborate with internal teams to deliver impactful engagement opportunities
– Support volunteers and church champions who advocate for World Vision within their congregations

About you:

– Active involvement in a Christian church community with a strong understanding of church life and leadership
– Strong commitment to the Christian faith and alignment with World Vision’s mission and values
– Established relationships with church leaders and Christian networks in New Zealand
– Experience in relationship management, fundraising, partnership development or ministry engagement
– Excellent communication and storytelling skills
– Strong bilingual communication skills in English and Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) are required
– Strong organisational and planning skills
– Ability to manage multiple priorities and build strong relationships
– Cultural sensitivity and ability to engage with diverse communities, especially Chinese churches

– Confidence using CRM systems, Microsoft Office and digital tools
– Current eligibility to work in New Zealand

Location and Hours:

– Based in Penrose, Auckland
– Full-time, Permanent position. 37.5hrs per week.
– Hybrid work
