In this role you will:
• Identify, connect and account manage a portfolio of church relationships.
• Deliver and present (i.e. preaching) World Vision’s work in various settings, including church services, conferences and other Christian events for the purposes of fundraising and relationship building.
• Contribute towards the creation of strategic communication plans, including impact reporting, transformational experiences, creative content and engagement events.
• Attend key Christian events/meetings, conferences, and public speaking engagements to spread the word about WVNZ’s work. Engage new church partners and other key contacts.
• Effectively use and maintain records in CRM.

About you:
• Experience in church life, either as a volunteer or paid employee – 5+ years. Leadership roles would be an advantage.
• Key Account & Sales or Fundraising experience – 3+ years.
• A strong network, with existing relationships in the NZ Church and the ability to readily engage others and build rapport, trust and positive relationships by understanding others organisational and personal needs.
• Deep personal engagement and understanding of the Christian faith.
• Optimistic and passionate for the local church
• Highly developed communications skills, both written and verbal
• Compassion for the poor, a righteous anger at injustice and hope in the Kingdom of God.
• Comfortable to interact with church leaders in social situations.
• Home office with strong Wi-Fi connection to enable partial work-from-home (WFH) if desired.
• Current eligibility to work in New Zealand.

Location and Hours
• Based in Penrose, Auckland. On-site parking.
• Full-time, Permanent position. 37.5hrs per week.
• Monday – Friday with typically 1-2 Sundays a month.
• Hybrid work model, minimum of 2 days in the office.
